I Got the KAST x Pudgy Gold SBT… But What Is It Actually For?
I recently checked my wallet after joining the KAST x Pudgy collectible campaign, and to my surprise, the Gold SBT was already there.
At first, I was just curious. I connected my wallet to OpenSea to see if anything had arrived, and there it was. Not only the basic collectible, but the Gold one too.
How I Found It
The process was simple. I entered my KAST account email and my EVM wallet address on the campaign page. After that, I checked OpenSea with the same wallet, and the collectible appeared in my account.
Since this is an SBT, it is not a normal NFT that can be freely traded. It is more like a non-transferable proof that shows my KAST card spending history.
Why I Got the Gold SBT
The campaign had different tiers based on total card spending:
- Standard: $10+ total spend
- Black: $100+ total spend
- Gold: $1,000+ total spend
Since I had used my KAST card quite a lot before, my past spending seems to have counted toward the Gold tier.
But What Is It For?
Honestly, I am still not sure.
It looks nice. It feels good to receive something called “Gold.” But at the same time, I do not know if it has any real use yet.
Maybe it will be used later for membership benefits, future campaigns, early access, or some kind of reward system. Or maybe it is just a collectible badge that stays in the wallet.
Either way, it is kind of fun to have it.
My Thoughts
I cannot say this is valuable right now. It is not something I can sell, and I do not know whether it will unlock future benefits.
But as someone who has actually used the KAST card, it feels like a small proof of activity. A little on-chain record that says, “Yes, I was here. I used this card.”
Is it useful? Maybe not yet.
Does it feel good? A little bit, yes.
For now, I will just keep it in my wallet and see if KAST or Pudgy does anything interesting with it later.
Conclusion
The KAST x Pudgy Gold SBT is now in my wallet, and I was able to confirm it through OpenSea.
I still do not know exactly what it will be used for, but that is part of the fun in Web3. Sometimes these things become useful later, and sometimes they just remain as memories.
For now, I will take it as a small win.
