I Bought a $2 Fries Coin
on FOMO…
Then I Found Out What Was Behind It
This started for a very simple reason.
I was browsing FOMO and saw a coin with a picture of French fries. 🍟
I liked the artwork.
So I bought some.
My big investment?
A few days later, I checked it again and noticed something strange.
The fries were moving. 🍟📈
My tiny $2 position had started going up, so naturally I became curious:
“What exactly did I buy?”
🍟 Apparently, FRIES Has a Little More Going On
At first, I thought FRIES was simply another meme coin. And to be fair, it is still very much a meme coin.
But after looking into it, I found an interesting mechanism behind the project.
The basic idea promoted by the FRIES project is:
MCDx is connected to the tokenized-stock ecosystem and tracks McDonald’s stock, while FRIES itself remains a speculative meme token.
Still, I thought the combination was pretty funny:
+
🍔 McDonald’s-Related Tokenized Asset
Whoever came up with this definitely understood the meme.
Should I Have Bought More?
Now comes the classic crypto thought:
But if I had bought more and it crashed immediately, I probably would have said:
“Thank God I only bought $2.” 😂
That’s why I’m perfectly happy keeping these kinds of meme trades small. For me, it’s more about having fun and seeing where the story goes.
