Introduction
Many traders participating in the Decibel ecosystem are curious about one thing:
How many points can you realistically earn with a small amount of capital?
Since the Decibel points system may play a role in future rewards or potential airdrops, it can be useful to look at real trading data.
In this post, I share my personal experience trading on Decibel and how many points I managed to accumulate.
This is not financial advice — just a real data point for anyone trying to estimate the early efficiency of the points system.

During my trading period, my portfolio looked roughly like this:
- Portfolio value: $173
- Realized PnL: – $246
- 30-day trading volume: $564,263
- Average leverage: ~2.7x
Although the PnL was negative, the goal of this activity was primarily to generate trading volume and points, not necessarily profit.
This is a common approach in early-stage incentive programs.
Points Earned

My current Decibel statistics:
- Total Season 1 Points: 374.30 AMP
- Rank: #244
- Referrals: 5 / 5 joined
At the time of writing, the global statistics show:
- Users with points: 4,792
- Total points distributed: 559,210
So this rank places my account somewhere around the top few percent of participants.
Points Efficiency (Rough Estimate)
Using my numbers:
Capital ≈ $173
Total points ≈ 374
A very rough efficiency estimate would be:
~2.16 points per dollar of capital
Of course this is only a rough reference because:
- leverage increases volume
- trading frequency matters
- referral activity may affect points
- the final reward model is still unknown
Still, this data point may help people estimate early points efficiency.
Trading Approach
My approach was relatively simple:
- small leveraged positions
- consistent trading activity
- maintaining trading volume over time
The main objective was to stay active within the ecosystem and accumulate points gradually.
Important Note
It is important to remember that the final value of Decibel points has not been announced.
Points may or may not convert to future rewards.
This article simply shares real activity data for reference.
Final Thoughts
There are certainly traders with much larger volume and significantly higher points.
However, this example shows that even with relatively small capital, it is possible to accumulate a meaningful amount of points through active participation.
Hopefully this data point can serve as a small reference for anyone trying to estimate the early economics of the Decibel points system.
